I am sooo tired! (vent)

All right ladies I need some support. I am soo tired that I am dragging myself through my day. I have insomnia which is contributing to it. I also have been sleeping on the couch since my in-laws are visiting for a few days and of course my son HAS to sleep with me. i am teaching during the day in an inner-city school which is really emotionally draining, my DH works overseas, and I am taking a university course so that I can move pay categories. The course was started before I found out I was pregnant. I have paper due tomorrow and I haven't even started writing it. Due to issues with staffing at school I have lost time there to write so that I could help others complete paperwork that has to be done today. I know that I will make it but with this paper right now I feel totally overwhelmed. Anyone else doing this?

Same thing here. I have 3 dd's and a house that screams for me. I co-sleep with 3 y.o. dd and I am suffering with insomnia too. My house is a disaster, I don't feel like cooking, I often catch myself dozing off when I read to dd's. I feel like I am already needing a break. I find it hard to get to sleep before 2am and wake up @4am. I know I should be getting more sleep. My dd who shares my bed with me is a little space heater. I often have to get up and walk around to get the sweat off of me!!!! I am happy to be pg and I feel guilty about complaining but.....:yawning: Well, I know things get better in the 2nd trimester so we just have to hang in there

Those of you with small children are amazing! I am soooo tired and want to do nothing but curl up on the couch with a book or even TV. I almost started to cry last night when I had to go teach an hour-long dance class. But, this will be our first, so I am reminded here to be grateful that I have the luxury of doing nothing from time to time. You are strong women!

I'm in a parallel boat.

Yesterday, I went to help out a friend who just had her first baby 3 weeks ago. I was SO tired by about 4pm, I couldn't keep my eyes open. I HAD to lie down on her couch for a while before I could even think about helping her more. : Gee thanks, friend! I go over to help out a new mom....and end up sleeping on her couch. TG she's a good friend who understood.
Of course, it didn't help that my toddler kept wanting to climb on me while I was laying there......

Then....I haven't made a decent meal in over a week at home! I made some fancy chicken about 3 days ago (Indonesian Ginger Chicken). Once it was done, I could hardly stand to even be in the same room with the smell. Needless to say, DH ate an entire chicken by himself (with a little help from Alex) this week because I refuse to touch it. Nothing sounds good and I can't even bring myself to cook something that I'm not going to eat.
Lucky for me, my MIL is coming over tomorrow to help for a couple of days.

When I was pg with DS, I worked full time. It was the first, and hopefully the last, time I work through a pregnancy. I was so drained all the time, especially through the 2nd half of the pg. I told DH (and I'm sticking with this now) that if I ever get pg again, I'm not working. I never thought it would happen, but now that it has, I'm sticking to that. I just felt like it wasn't fair to my family that work sucked up all my energy and there just wasn't much left at the end of the day for the things that really mattered to me.

So far this time I feel pretty good. I don't notice being too overly tired. However, when I do give myself a few minutes to lay down and relax, whether I'm laying my son down for a nap or bedtime, I am able to knock out within minutes. So though I may not feel really tired, my body certainly does take advantage of the opportunity to rest whenever it presents itself.

I'm right there with you mama I'm exhausted and can't keep up with school work. I've lost all motivation to do any schoolwork. All I want to do is lay down. The exhaustion and nausea are kicking my butt! I'm not so sure I'll be taking classes next semester.

Fatigue found me today!

I remembered being tired early on with DS, but hadn't felt it yet. Instead, I've had insomnia and been waking up too early by an hour or two.

This afternoon, the exhaustion hit. We walked over to a little art festival they were holding in front of town hall. (How quaint New England! ) My son was desperate to go over to the school playground, and we did, but I suddenly just wanted to take a nap on a park bench right then and there. Never mind the battle of the four high school rock bands playing nearby.

Thank God DS took a nap this afternoon (he skips them sometimes lately) because I got one, too, and my husband was able to get some of his work done so I don't have to feel guilty for taking yet more of DH's very precious free time. (He cleaned up the kitchen yesterday when I couldn't go in because there was "A SMELL". And today he emptied and re-ran the dishwasher. Oh, how I love him!!!)

I think I am very lucky to be a dreadful housekeeper. I just rest. It is messy here, and I don't love it, but it isn't unhygienic and I got a nap! DH even brought me Jasper, the purple elephant that I always napped with during pg with DS. I think I arranged the pillows just the way they were back then, I had the same blanket, and I had the same cuddly. NOW I FEEL PREGNANT!

DS asked if I had a headache when he saw me lying down on the couch while Papa carried him upstairs for his own rest. I think that's the only reason he knows of for Mommy to nap.

Sort of can relate...

My DD (24 months) co sleeps (read: sleeps on top of me, attached to nipple, wakes every 1 - 3 hours)... she is go go go during the day. After she falls back to sleep I lie awake trying to get comfortable for another 1/2 hour just to be woken again in another hour - ah!

I work from home for my husband's company, so must do this during any nap times & in the evenings. But I have a wonderful DH & MIL who help out so much in the early evenings by taking DD out, allowing me work time at home, with no baby monitor on.

I'm worn out... but can't even imagine working outside of the home... getting dressed in something other than sweats w/my hair in a ponytail is so far beyond me!

We'll get past this... DD will sleep (comes in waves), and as I remember from 1st pregnancy, second trimester is a breeze.
