Anyone else want to join the club? I can't believe i'm only 6 weeks along and already getting heartburn. How depressing.
The culprits so far have been pizza last week (tomato sauce - understandable) and carrot soup last night. That was the *worst*, and I cannot figure out why carrot soup would've given me heartburn.
Anyhow, you'd think after two pregnancies I would've figured out a wonderful heartburn remedy, but I haven't. I can and will avoid the trigger foods of course, but it seems that with each pregnancy the trigger foods are slightly different...thus there is a steep 'learning curve' in the beginning.
Anyone have any wonderful heartburn remedies to pass along?

The high levels of hormones relax the muscles in your GI tract, including the sphincter muscle at the top of your stomach. My heartburn kicked in last week, ugh. I decided a few days ago that I cannot take anymore Tums. They make me so sick. I bought some Rolaids "Soft Chews" in vanilla flavor and they are great! I try not to take them too often because they can constipate you, but I keep them next to my bed at night and chew whenever I can't take it anymore.
I can't wait for the 2nd trimester

I'm so sorry to hear about your awful hb.
Every day....every minute. It didn't matter what I ate or what was going on....it was just there.
