1st birthday "cake" ideas needed

What can I do for a first birthday "cake" for DD? I've thought about making her a "cake" from a pumpkin pie filling recipe I have, but for some reason I'm enamored with the idea of pictures of her with frosting on her face. Does anyone have a recipe for frosting with very little or no sweetener (or stevia as a sweetener)? What about grain-free cake recipes? I'd prefer dairy-free recipes as she has a dairy intolerance, but I can probably adapt recipes if I need to. Any suggestions?

I saw a brownie recipe here on MDC that uses black beans. Not exactly a cake, but I bet you can make it cakier with extra eggs and you can certainly frost it. Here is the thread:

I'd bet cream cheese frosting would be awesome on it. I haven't made frosting for 2 years now and don't have a recipe, but it's basically cream cheese, butter, and a sweetener. I would use a combination of honey, maple syrup, sucanat or rapadura and stevia. I have not had great luck using stevia as the only sweetener in desserts.
