DS hates -- and I mean HATES -- wet diapers. He starts screaming within seconds of having peed.
DH and I have discussed EC but it just isn't practical for us right now for a number of reasons. I'm trying to think of ways to keep DS more comfortable after he pees and give us a couple of minutes so we can get him out of the sling/pull the car over/finish walking to the change area/etc. without the screaming.
We use flats and prefolds with some miscellaneous second hand plasticky covers, one fleece cover and some homemade wool soakers and wraps made from recycled sweaters. We save the fleece and wool for nighttime right now because he seems more comfortable in them.
I am wondering about increasing his comfort by using a simple wool liner. Since wool wicks moisture away from heat, I suspect it might help, but I've never heard of anyone else doing this and I'm wondering why not. Is there some fatal flaw here that I'm not seeing?
