I went in for a u/s yesteday. I was terrified about m/c, and just generally working myself into a panic for the last three weeks. And guess what? We saw the heartbeat!!!!!!!! My dates were RIGHT on (8w5d by LMP, 8w3d by ovulation). I was so surprised when the doc's measurements came out to 8w3d exaxtly. Yay for charting!
So now we've told the ILs and are telling my parents in person this weekend (they live out of state and we had already planned a visit). DH's 5 year old niece says it will be a girl and we should reverse her name (niece is "Rebecca Marie", she says we should call the baby "Marie Rebecca"
)
I do feel a little guilty for having an early u/s
: , but it was worth it because my panic wasn't helping matters at all. I figure this u/s, then one around 20 weeks isn't too bad.
Just had to share!!!!!!
