UGH! Mine soo sucked however i think it was a good thing and had to do alot with Sage being such a great nurser. AND being 4 days old I AM barely bleeding which is really nice

The day Sage was born Kai overheard me saying about BFing and contraxing/bleeding and he came to me while i was on the toilet and started nursing so he could help however of course the uterus contraxd even more.

I think some of my pain was from my right ligament and sacrum out of alignment which im finally going to see chiro today to get a gooooood adjustment.

Anyone else?

Awww...that sounds terrible. I'm really not looking forward to it. Sorry you're in so much pain sweetie! Does anything seem to help at all? Heating pad? Ibuprofen?

My bleeding has been pretty minimal. I'm 5 days post partum and am using a regular pad, changing it every few hours. It's like day 2-3 of a 5 day period for me roughly. I feel really good. I'm not noticing any cramping induced by nursing at this point and I can feel my uterus several inches below my belly button.

I had a similar experience with my first birth.

Well not surprisingly i went to the chiropractor today and most of the pain i was experiencing was from my sacrum out of alignment BAD!! My whole body feels great heck nothing below even feels like i had a baby Heck i wouldnt mind some DH time if ya KWIM of course we will not yet though

MW is impressed with my uterus as it is really small and about where it belongs

I had TONS of contrax/pain after birth and during nursing. Cal/mag supplements about 1/2 hour before nursing has helped tremendously. I have definitely noticed an overall decrease in pain since my adjustment (when DD was 3 days old) and SHE has been a new baby since being adjusted!!!! Oh My GOODNESS!!! I believed in chiro before, but I'm a HUGE advocate and talkin about it ALL over the place NOW!!!

My afterpains were BRUTAL for about 24 hours. It seriously felt like transitional labour, and I honestly think it was worse than labour. I had to stop nursing Xan a few times because I seriously couldn't take it anymore.

After my daughter I didn't notice any (natural birth), and after my first son I didn't notice any because I was so heavily drugged (c-section). But MAN did I ever feel them after Xan. Holy smoke.

However, my bleeding has been *very* light.

Someone forgot to warn me about those after birth contractions!!
Ugh, they were rough! I am three days out now and they are starting to space out quite a bit, but I had no idea what I was in for those first few days!

The after pains this time are way worse for me too. I barely remember them with DD but this time they have been intense. I took ibuprofen a couple of times and I'm trying some cal-mag too. I am still having them regularly on day four here, but they are better than they were. Really, really painful for a while. Bleeding has definitely slowed too already.
