We did it!!!!!!!!

Amy Michelle is here! She arrived at 11:38 am on October 12, weighing 6 pounds even at 34 weeks!!

Despite the amnio, she's had a little struggle breathing. But she's improved tremendously since yesterday. They expect she'll be in the NICU for about a week which is average for a 34 weeker.

I am feeling basically OK for having had major surgery. I'm up and walking, am able to pump, eating regular food and wearing regular clothes. I'll be in the hospital until Monday, and hopefully Amy will come home a few days later.

Thanks for all the good wishes. I honestly feel like the weight of the world has been lifted from my shoulders. For the first time in a long time, the world seems like a nice place.

Yay!!! Congratulations, mama! I'm sure your thrilled to have all the wait and worry behind you.

I'm so glad you're both doing well! Hopefully she'll be out of the hospital asap!
