DIY Baby Legs Sizing Question

Thread Starter
I am due in three weeks with my first child (a boy)... I'd like to sew some "baby legs" for him and I was wondering if I need to get women sized knee socks or if girls sized knee socks are ok... just seems that womens would be so big (but what do I know I don't have a baby to compare it to)... Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!

I just made a couple of pairs and used girl's sized. They were the largest size, I think size 1-4. They turned out perfect for my 1 yo dd. She weighs about 21 lbs. Her legs are not very chunky and they fit perfect. There is stilly quite a bit of length. I would think that a women's size would be way to big for her.

HTH!

Ok here is a link to the ones I made... found girls knee socks at Target (2 pair for $2) and made these... they aren't all that interesting but we are having a boy so they can't be too girly....

Now i just need to find FUN boy-ish socks and I'll be good to go!

Thanks again!
