Ok those of you who have contrax but not in labor...

Do you mostly get them laying down and they stop when moving? Or the other way?

I *finally* have started having more contractions. I noticed I was getting them at 1:51am (haha) and was able to fall asleep. Woke up at like 5:30 and noticed I was still getting them. Like every 5min maybe, not lasting *too* long. Was still getting them as I rolled out of bed 20min ago. Don't notice them really anymore though. Maybe I need to go back to bed :

So has anyone else had patterns like this? I have my 40wk appt today and I *really* don't feel like going. I emailed her last night to let her know I was planning to just not come today but I haven't heard back. So I think I might have to go... I don't want to not show up if she is expecting me and my phone is acting batty so I can't call. Would be lovely to have contractions all the way there and back :

Happy due date to me. I have a ticker at a couple other boards and I really don't like looking at the thing today. Esp since it says "I really want out now" or something like that. Maybe I need to set it back a couple weeks

I have been having a bit of prodromal labor here and there. I also have contractions while I am laying down, trying to sleep, and while I am up and about as well. I am 4 days til my due date and I don't put much stock in these contractions anymore . . . .

I had the same kind of thing with my first pregnancy, starting at week 35, and I delivered him 13 days past his due date. Of course, he was in a posterior position, so that makes the contractions less effective in regards to dilation and tends to make a gestation go longer.

Yeah my stubborn posterior baby is the reason I know I haven't gotten hardly any contractions this pregnancy till now. lol He has been this way since 29wks now.

I went 43wks with my anterior daughter. But "on time" with my previous two. One who was also posterior AND had a hand by his head which resulted in 21hr labor and 3 1/2hrs pushing.

So who knows. lol With my last birth being only 3hrs start to finish I really hate to be driving anywhere though. I noticed I am still getting the contractions. I just don't feel them as much. My lower back is also very poppy. Like all of a sudden the bones are all loose. I can't move without feeling "pop pop pop" LOL

Mine are more intense at night.I figure when i am up and around i am too busy to notice them so i could be having more during the day then i think.I too though take no notice of them if i can because i really prefer to think of them as nothing,no matter how painful,so i can prepare myself for the real ones.It is my own way of building a higher pain threshold.I figure i am around 3cm dialated right now and getting this far was fairly easy

I get mine pretty much no matter what I'm doing, but can almost guarantee to have them every 5-10 minutes whenever I'm driving (or riding) in the car. I'm 41+3 today so maybe I should just plan to spend the DAY driving and I can have this baby tonight!

I had them ALL DAY yesterday. And until about 4 this morning when they eventually subsided. I was "so" ready....so ready to give birth. I had thought "how perfect, its a weekend! DH is home...everything will be great!". But nothing since 4 this morning.

I get them both when I'm active and when I'm resting....no pattern in that respect. Mine were about 12 minutes apart and lasting 30-45 seconds each. Some longer.

I"m just too impatient! I'm not at my due date until next week sometime (we've been given two due dates...one on Monday, one on Friday) and so I'm probably going to have to just sit it out for a while anyhow....grrr!

Mine are more tightening and loosening sorts of cntrx - so not the labor type yet. I have gotten a couple that are more crampy and going in the right direction, though. I get these things all day - usually more in the evening. I can have them standing, walking, sitting, or lying down. You sound close though Good luck!

Mine are more crampy. I feel crampy right now sitting here. I don't have to go to my appt afterall... my midwife is at a birth. Yay! LOL I *really* didn't want to go out. It's 30 degrees out and I have nothing warm enough for this weather. Another reason baby needs to come already... so I can wear my warm clothes

Would be nice to have a "due date" baby. Or at least this weekend so dh doesn't have to use as many personal days off.

Mine feel more crampy as well. They've stopped since I got this cold, hopefully baby is letting me rest as much as possible.

I am having contractions all the time, but they never lead to anything. Every time I bother timing them for fun they are about 8 minutes apart, but then they'll get less regular after a while. Most of them don't hurt, but more and more lately I get the crampy ones. I am 9 days past my due date today. How long can this go on? I feel like I've been in "pre-labor" for more than two weeks! Any other moms have this go on as long?

I am just started to be annoyed. They come, they go. They come, they go. They come, they go. They get stronger, then weaker. :

Although the last 2 felt like i was being stabbed in my stomach with a really sharp knife. Lets hope that means its moving along. Im sooo tired of these FAKERS what i call em.
