Okay, so yesterday I thought I started my period. Louis was seven weeks old yesterday. I've always gotten my period back quickly but not THAT quickly. Anyway, I never completely stopped bleeding after birth, but it was very, very light. Yesterday I started bleeding fairly heavily. I was PO'd. But then it stopped. Well, slowed way down again anyway. The thing that has me concerned is that I'm hurting now - not like crampy hurting, just hurting - like a dull ache. I'm wondering what the heck is going on - maybe I did something that hurt me internally - maybe I'm just not healed up yet, I don't know. Anyone else ever had this happen or bleed this long? This is a new one for me.

This is similarly happening to me now....thought I got my period back at 6 weeks exactly, which was 3-days after the pp bleeding ended. So, I had estimated that yesterday actually would be day 14. I have been dull achy crampy for the last 3-days and started bleeding again today.
I figure my body is just trying to get back into the swing of things and will be a little off for quite a bit. I hope you are not hurting too badly!

I'm 6 1/2 weeks pp and had the exact thing a couple of days ago. No idea what it was, but misery loves company, right?

Apparently - blech. It wouldn't bother me if it was just the bleeding. But the pain has me a bit concerned. It's pretty painful - not horrible - but enough to concern me.

Did you by chance have a pap smear? I did and it made me bleed some after I was done bleeding.

No, I didn't have a pap. I saw my midwife yesterday. The bleeding has pretty much stopped. She said that it's actually pretty common. I guess it was just new for me. As for the pain, my uterus has healed up - I'm having muscle issues. She wants me to see a massage therapist to see if she can help me. So, luckily, the pain isn't too big of a deal. Hopefully I can get those darn muscles healed up!

Were you particularly active when it started up? My bleeding had all but disappeared and then one day it came back heavy, so much so that I called my doctor frantic and the first thing he asked was if I had been active. I was all, "hmm, not really but I did lift about 20 heavy boxes today
". He laughed at me and said that would do it.
