Sorry if this has already been posted...I didn't see it while doing a short search through recent pages.
This is a good article...yet more proof that the FDA is totally nuts. Raw milk is compared to heroin, and drinking it is playing 'Russian roullette," even though there hasn't been a single outbreak of disease from it in at least 20 years. Check it out.

Wow... he did a good job of making the FDA out to be the fools they are Jebus. How can anybody believe an industry that is *so* in the pocket of AgriBusiness? Who claim that irradiated food is *better* for you than natural foods? Who still permits toxic food additives to meet their approval? Seriously, sometimes I think that if the FDA came out and said that broccoli was the best food on the planet, I'd burn that entire section of my garden. I trust their words and intentions about as much as I trust those of George Bush.

He did do a good job - and was rather entertaining at the same time. I cannot believe, though, that our government - you know in the land of the "free" where we all have the right to the pursuit of happiness - can actually outlaw food and send people to jail over it. Unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable. Of course, it's those that want to provide us with living, whole food that are threatened. Not those that produce GE and GMO food that sickens us every day, and is slowly (and not so slowly) killing us. No. They are gods. But simple, pure farmers, who know what is good ... they are busted in undercover stings? WTH is that all about ... seriously, does not this government have slightly more important things to do? Where is that island with rich pasture land where I can go live, have my own cows and chickens, and raise my family free of this crud? Sorry ... this subject kind of gets my panties in a wad.

I thought the author did a good job, too. Even people with no interest in seeking out raw milk can see how thoroughly absurd it is that those of us who drink it are actually criminalized in some states. I just know that the FDA and big dairy were frothing at the mouth with excitement when Organic Pastures dairy was targeted as being possibly to blame for the recent outbreak of e. coli. Oh, how disappointed they must have been when all the tests came back negative It's just so ridiculous. I didn't realize that arresting the Amish for selling raw milk was so high on the priority list for this government. I guess those pesky Amish are the ones who are REALLY endangering the health of the populace!

I loved the article. It was very entertaining. Now I'm wondering what Sally Fallon ate for lunch at the Mexican place. Hmm....

I'm sure the French shake their heads at the FDA's raw milk hysteria.

I dream of the day that I get to eat REAL brie!

I once heard that the FDA was interested in banning ALL cheeses made from raw milk (currently, cheeses that have been aged past 60 days are legal here). But that would have made it illegal to buy true parmesean cheese. Eek!!
