just checking in to see if there are any more of us older moms on the MDC boards! I'm 43, this is my 6th pregnancy....

Hi! I turned 40 in April, this is #2. We had DD when I was 37, so I was "old!" then too

Not from your DDC, but the over 40 question caught my attention. My son is due 3 days after my 40th birthday, next February. This is my 1st. I'm curious to see how many of us there are! Good luck to everybody on happy, healthy pregnancies!

I'm not over 40, but I'm darn close! I'll be 40 in July....and my 2nd child is due in June. I had my first one when I was 36......

DH just turned 50 last month, so I do worry about our "aged" gametes and hope they'll make another healthy, perfect baby.

I echo your sentiments! DH is 53. He was 50 when we conceived DD. and I have the same worries. Doesn't help that OB wants us to go to genetic counselling, et al. But, what will be will be. So, we'll be 41 (me) and he almost 54 when #2 is born. I like this thread

I'll be 42 when this one, our first, arrives. DH will be 46. Gotta love my midwife though. After the first massage (mmm...fabulous) she tells my DH how lucky he is, that I am perfect, in better shape than most 20-somethings. It's so nice NOT to hear all that 'elderly' talk about later pregnancies. Also wonderful to have her full support for a home birth.
