How long did it take for labour to start once you peed blood?

That sounds gross, sorry. But I figure all TMI issues are up for discussion this month! So, about an hour ago I peed and there was what looked like a strand of blood on the tp (w/ a lot of mucous, which I assume to be my plug). Just wondering what your experience has been in the past? I called my MW and she thinks 24-48 hours, but I'd love to hear from others too. Thanks!

My first labour I lost my plug during labour. The one I just had I lost my plug in the middle of the night Wednesday and she was born in the wee hours of Sunday morning. So, I would call it 3 or 4 days before! Hope it's soon!

With my first it was an hour and half after I saw bloody show that my dd was born. But of course that is not the norm.

Mine was always the day of birth. Crossing my fingers your lil one will come soon! I know you are anxious to meet him/her!

sorry to break the trend of having the mucus plug and then a labor directly following... BUT....I lost my mucus plug at 33 1/2 weeks and then some more at 36 weeks. I am now 38 weeks and holding.... never lost the plug with my daughter and son, so this is a first for me....
sure wish it meant that labor was very close! it is a sign of prelabor though so rest up!

Could be very soon!!!

This pg--never had any bloody show until 6 cm and in labor...but mucous for the 3 days preceding labor. Previous pgs--bloody show with my first when labor started...nothing with my second. Good luck--hope it's a sign things are going forward!

I would think if it was JUST mucous then it could be longer really. Especially with your first. But, I wonder if since there is blood there as well that it might be closer. But I have no idea. I have never seen anything. I do have increased discharge but nothing mucousy or anything even.

Whatever it means... at least you are seeing something huh? Proof that you WILL have a kid someday??? LOL

With ds my water broke, then my plug came out, and I had ds eight hours later. With this one, I started losing my plug about 3 days before I had her, but the morning I went into labor it was really really slimey and bloody - the two previous days had just been blood tinged cm.

This pregnancy I lost the majority of my mucus plug on last tuesday. It was bloody and I'm still here almost a week later with no baby. contraction every 10 minutes and cramps and still having the bloody shpow.. but no baby. I'm going in tomorow for an induction since they are concerned aboiut my BP and the baby's heartrate. SO I'm not really much help! Hope you go soon!
