Fertile mucous?

Today I've been having what really looks like the clearish, stretchy mucous that you get right around the time you're fertile. Since I'm due Oct 26, I'm obviously not ovulating!! But what is this? Is it the "mucous plug" that they talk about? It isn't bloody at all and I guess I always just assumed the mucous plug would be somehow more sticky or dry.

Anyone know if this is the plug or something else? Anyone else experience this?? Anyone know if this is a sign I'm getting close??

Well i asked the same question the other night, and they all told me it sounded like my mucous plug. Im due right with you.. but im hoping it WAS the mucous plug because hopefully that means any day now!

It is probably your mucous plug. mine with ds didn't have any blood at all, came out little by little for about 2 days and then he was born a day or two after that. It is clear or yellowish (slightly) and stringy and slippery. Kind of like snot. Sorry for the comparison.

I have lost a little of mine too, but still trying to not get too excited!

sounds like what happened to me, too...about 4 days before I went into labor! I never had this with the other two, though. FWIW, it continued for the few days leading up to labor. Best wishes!

I'm due the 25th and lost a little bit of mine yesterday. I was expecting more yesterday and today but so far, nothing. I was thinking 'fertile mucous?' just like you were though

Things get more and more moist down there as pregnancy progresses. There are some women who have so much vaginal moisture toward the end of their pregnancy that they need to use a pad. I've gotten to where I cannot sit on the couch in just my underwear or the couch gets wet so I put down a towel. The plug is like the egg-white stuff you get when you're really fertile and it may be tinged with blood. Regardless, it's all a sign that you're getting closer...

I had that snotty type mucousy discharge just this morning after an evening of painful cervical ctx. Yay...means we're close now!
