rmzbm ~ Where did you grow up? I am near Syracuse NY! Just missed the recent snowstorm (close call!) I don't think lil Truman is ready for winter! I am going to spend some time today surfing around the forums! Hope to see you all out there!! If I get lost I will come back in here and cry for help

~MamaInTheBoonies~ Thanks for the welcomes! How far away from a local town do you live? I grew up in the country myself and I wanted so desperately to live in suburbia. But I also went 4 wheeling & horseback riding and I really miss those things and think my kids are missing out by living here in suburbia on a 1/3 of an acre of land. Its weird how thing change so much when you are a parent, my DH and I are considering buying land and building someday in the future. Such a hard choice ~ Country or town ...

Nice to meet you Strlein 26 & oneotamama!

I used to live in Syracuse. I was raised in Mexico, NY. If you're from Syracuse I'm sure you've heard of it...otherwise, probably not...it's a stop sign & not much else, LOL!

Hi rmzbm! I do know where that is!! I grew up in Lysander (the "real" Lysander not the one on the outskirts of B'ville but the one near Cato, we lived 4 houses away from having to go to Cato schools!

I have to drive through Phoenix (as I am sure you know is near Mexico) to get to my parents house out in the wilderness

how do you like G.A. Do you miss Central NY at all?

Yup, I know just where you're at!
Where are your parents...Phoenix? It's a nice area.
Yeah...*sigh* I do miss home...BUT had MAJOR issues there (In-Law related) and we just can't go back.
I do love GA though - I'm a southern girl at heart, LOL, I despise NY winters!
But summer...uggh...I miss upstate NY summers, I grew up on Lake Ontario...we ruled the beaches between Mexico & Pulaski/Sandy Creek!
Boating, skiing...I miss those days so much.
But, alas, the past is the past. :
