wooden people

Anyone have suggestions of making the felt clothes for all wooden people. The ones that are small and look like the old FP peg people?

I know the book Feltcraft has some patterns for the wooden doll base people. Another way to do it is to sort of wrap your felt around the people, or a piece of paper even. So, say you use a piece of paper, experiment with cutting shapes and wrapping around the doll base in various ways. Then, leaving a bit of ease for sewing/folding of the felt etc. take your paper pattern and cut out your felt.

Hope that makes sense .

I made some into little gnomes, here's a picture.

It was pretty easy to do without a pattern. The hat was a half-circle folded into a cone shape and sewn up the back, and the cape was like a triangle with the top point cut off, stitched closed under the head.

Jennifer's idea sounds good too. Good luck!

Rowdypea, I love your website! Lovely photographs .

Just wanted to add that depending on the figure shape (Rowdy's were the 'angel' shape), the more cylindrical wooden men can use just triangular strips wrapped around their bodies for an under-tunic, works great under a cape .
