They turned out way better than I was anticipating. I think some sweaters work better than others and this happened to be a good one :

ya, i have this thing about not matching my seams, but my machine has a really nice overlock stitch so it ends up looking okay (imho )

We're neighbors!

I tried to look at your pictures, but the site had an error, so couldn't. However, I noticed that we are neighbors! I also live in Spokane (Valley) near Argonne. Maybe we could chat sometime! Anyway, hope I get to see those pictures, eventually, since I am starting to make some too, and would like suggestions. Which pattern did you use? What about this particular sweater made it seem to work better for you?

As far as the type of sweater, it just wasn't too thick ( i double it up tho) and a fairly tight knit- I made one from an unfleted cable knit the day before and it turned out okay but was a real pain and mess all over- i had to hand sew some of it first. ALthough I still don't like felting it at all.

Pattern: I cut apart my favorite one and traced it : Its not WAHM made and I'm not planning on selling so I figured after eyeballing and getting about 15 covers (for friends and practice) that were all totally different than eachother, I'd just start getting it right. I like this style better than any free pattern I had seen soo... Hope that isn't a really terrible thing to admit I plan on making another tonight from the pattern I made so we'll see if I can get it to be mostly the same.
