Zane Thomas arrived Sunday...

Finally! At 41+4 Zane made his grand entrance, at home, in the water, with his sisters in attendance and after about 10 hours of labor. He is 22 inches long and weighed a whopping 10 pounds, 8 ounces - yow!!

We're so glad to finally have him in our arms!

Congrats to everyone else in the October DDC whose babies have come, too!

Gratulatio, old friend! Been lurking for ages, but received email this morning that made me think I might find you here. Cause for celebration and de-lurking. Pictures are awesome! Such cuties :

We're planning for a home/water birth ourselves in early December, but sssshhh...not telling the home crowd if we can at all avoid it. Keeps my stress levels at a nice low level if I don't have to engage in the debate.

Already teaching him sum, es, est - : and we're plotting to send him back for summer tutoring with MJC - Aristotle & Alexander style! (of course, she doesn't know this yet ).
