painful HIPS??

OK, I know all about how our joints loosen later in pregnancy to allow the pelvis to spread for birth.

But I'm due in JUNE and am barely along.

So, what's with the hip pain whenever I lay down? Makes sleeping horrible, and I can't get comfortable no matter how I lay, or what pillow combo I use, or if I pull my legs up, or lay on my side vs. back....

I thought yesterday it was lower back pain (scary), but realized last night it was my HIPS. Finally got up at 5 ish and took a Tylenol, and managed sleep until 7 or so when the neighbor's dog was crying to be let in (grrr).

Gives me much appreciation for my poor mother who has arthritis and has had bilateral replacements...

Anyone else having this??

I've been having trouble sleeping too, but my pain is mostly in my back. I toss and turn back and forth all night long.

I have the exact same problem and have since very early in this pregnancy.

I see a chiropractor and that helps for a little while. I wish I could go every week. Also, I now always sleep with a pillow between my legs which eases the pain a bit but it never completely goes away. It's so hard because I want to get in lots of sleep before the babies come but I just can't seem to do it .

Yup, same here. Not sure why this is happenning, but it's darned uncomfortable. I feel the need to wiggle around/stretch/whatever, but it doesn't actually help.
