dropped the ball

I am a member of a playgroup that brings "natural mothering" mothers together. The local TV channel is doing a segment on our group. Yesterday, we all got together and they taped us and our kids and had some interviews. At the end of the day the camara crew asked if anyone had anything else to say !!! Cr@p....I have lots to say!!!

But instead I said NOTHING. I feel like that was my chance to talk about RIC and get it on TV. I am soooo disappointed in myself. I even have these thoughts of hunting down the TV guy and meeting with him again.

Sorry just wanted to get that off my chest...since I was to cowardly to do it yesterday

Oh don't beat yourself up...I'm the kind of person that tends to go blank at critcal moments too. Chances are they would have edited it out anyway.

That kind of thing could happen to any of us when put on the spot, don't beat yourself up about it. What I really want to do is buy/make a pro-intact T-shirt that I could wear to gatherings/events where television coverage is likely...especially something that had a simple URL on it.

I have this problem many times, not just with circumcision. I wish so much that i would speak up more often (i have gotten alot better than i used to be). So many times i wish i had said more or at least something. I think it has somthing to do with upbringing as to how individuals respond to situations, then again some people seem to be outspoken even though they were not raised that way. Im not sure what causes it but i do know it takes alot of work and time to change a personality trait like that. Like the others have siad, dont beat yourself up about it, just feel good when you do get the word out and know that you are doing the right thing and keep up the good work. peace
