My sweet daughter is here!

Hi everyone!

On Monday October 16th at 6:05pm, my sweet little girl was born! I had an intense (very intense) 4 hour labor and after 10 minutes of pushing...there she was! She's nursing like a champ and my son is adjusting just as I expected so far. He's in love but definitely out of sorts...c'est la vie! My recovery has been simply amazing so far. I had minimal bleeding after birth and my midwife checked me today and said it doesn't even look like I had a baby...um, ok...sounds great! I'm phsyically very, very sore from the difficult labor and I did have one small tear but I'm counting my blessings!

Lots of good labor vibes to all our pregnant mamas and lots of peaceful baby vibes to all the mamas holding their babes!


ETA: She was 8lbs 10oz and 19 1/4 " Just what I was expecting actually. She felt much smaller than my son, who was 9lbs 13oz and 22 1/4".

Oh and my milk just came in and I have a much more satisfied baby now!

Congratulations! We had similar labors. Mine was about 4 hours of contractions and way more intense than my first birth experience.

She is very cute!

I figured that you had her! I noticed that you had not posted since Monday - so I was just waiting for a starlein announcement! Congratulations - she is gorgeous. Please, please pass on your 4-hour-labor-10-min-pushing vibes to me!!! We had the same due date, so I'm sort of hoping that mine comes a little early too Enjoy your babymoon!!

What a darling little angel!

Sounds like you had the opposite of what I had (fast labour vs. slow). I hope you recover quickly and enjoy your little bundle a ton. Give your son a hug for me, too. My three-year-old is doing so well, but he still looks a little... lost. But I have no doubt he'll find his new place in the family very quickly, as will yours.
