how to care for curly, fine hair?

DD1 has fine, curly hair. It is so pretty when the humidity is high (which is most of the time here in NC!), but looses most of the curl & just looks fuzzy & unkempt in low humidity. How can I keep it nice when the air is dry?

Hi, Shannon! I'm Shannon, too! Come on over to the FYT (Finding Your Tribe) forum and read our Curly Girl thread!

It's a great thread!

Do no-poo! If that's "too much work", then I suggest black soap from Africa to wash and unrefined shea butter to moisturize. (or J.R. Liggett's just mentioned here that I'm about to try). I have your DD's hair, and can honestly say that the humidity is my best friend. I only condition (no silicones) every other day, and am down to no-poo about once a month.
Also, try lavender water on her hair. It does wonders for mine!
