Anyone left from September? If not...

I think I need my own thread.

OMG...am I truly the only one left from September? If I let them be, these boards are so totally depressing... so many babies coming out in OCT and NOV! I should be happy, and I am... but oh, poor me! I had an official pity party in the middle of the night. I am feeling so frustrated that I have this little being taking up more and more and more of me both emotionally and physically, and my eagerness and readiness to meet this child has no affect whatsoever on his/her arrival.

Anyway, if I am the only one left, then I definitely nominate myself for a thread of cheerleading and support.

I really need all those strong labor vibes and prayers to come my way.

Oh, yeah, and NO ONE ELSE is allowed to have a baby until mine has made it earthside!: Just kidding.

Labor will come. That baby will be born. You will not be pregnant forever.

It will be your turn very very soon I predict.

No way I am off on dates. Oh, and I am at this point refusing to do any "natural" induction things aside from normal activities like nursing and making love, walking, etc.

keep the fairy dust coming. Never went into labor with dd (induced at almost 44 weeks) so this is definitely my ghost... "will it ever happen? Is my body capable of this?"

I read about a gestation that went on for 12 months and the baby was born weighing barely 6 lbs (its in "The husband-coached birth" by Robert Bradley, MD). They knew her date of conception because she had fertility issues. Dr. Bradley just says that birth dates run on a bell curve - like apples, some are "ripe" early and some late. Just have faith in your baby and your body and let your midwife keep an eye on things. I'm sending you lots of good birthing vibes*****!!!

PS - I met a lady today at my playgroup who told me that her son came a month after his due date. I didn't ask if she was finally induced or not - but you see, you aren't alone

Fast and easy labor vibes coming your way!!!

Honey, I'm still here with you!! I never joined the September group, cause I just knew I'd go in October. But, according to my best guess, I am 45 weeks. The *least* I could be is 43 weeks.

You are NOT alone! You *can* do this. It sucks, though, doesn't it? Everyday trying to decide if you should do this or that, cause it might be the last time you can get it done, stuff like that.

Today would have been a perfect day for me to go into labor, but no dice (well, I guess technically it could start up in the next half hour).

Did I mention on the other thread that I have a friend who, two weeks ago, gave birth to a healthy baby at 46+ weeks? She was certain on her dates, too.

((((hugs)))) to us both! Those babies will be here any day.

Oh, Tracy! You are still here! I posted a thread on UC but didnt hear a reply, so thought you may be holding your wee one...

It kinda does suck. I clean my house meticulously everyday, just in case. HA! But yesterday I think I made some progress with letting go and trusting and I hope I can stay centered in that. I also thought about how many people got induced by 42 and therefore have their babes in arms. If they hadnt, I am sure we would have a much bigger club of women who were still waiting. And that, in all honesty, would make this waiting a little easier- to know their are so many others in the same boat, that it is normal, etc. But without them, it is easy to feel like "What is wrong with me that I dont have a baby yet?" So I am back to knowing that this is normal- that nothing is broken, it is just that I refuse to take the medical route for no reason.

Anyway- last night I had SERIOUS crampy contractions. I loved it!!!! Course they have petered out, but I am reveling in the fact that everything is working just as it should be. And today we are supposed to go 2 hours away- not sure if I should go or stay. It would suck to not be here for labor or birth.:

Hmmm... what to do- go or stay? If I stay, nothing will happen, if I go, I iwll have a car birth, lol. Actually, I decided I would check into a hotel with a big jacuzzi room.

Thinking of you all and thankful for the support!

(Oh, and the computer wont let me use apostrophies. So sorry!)

Oh, I forgot to check that forum! Honestly? I haven't been spending that much time on MDC. It's just a wee bit discouraging.

I think you should GO. But then I'm like that. I have never worried much that I'll be caught out when labor gets going. And I have fast labors! So you'd think I'd worry about that! Otoh, if you are looking for a graceful way to get *out* of going, I fully support playing the 10-Month-Mama card.

I like having ctx, too. It is a good, tangible reminder that I really will have a new sweet babe soon. SOON!

Hope you have a good weekend, even if it turns out to be labor-free!
