Another circ medical site (and video) - Page 2

I didn't even notice he wasn't gloved. I thought he had gloves on later.

Today I'm upset that this video is concidered good enough to put on a website that I can access.

I KNOW that it is intended for medical training. But anyone can access the video. And they put it up there thinking it is an appropriate training video. Sick. sick. sick.

Oh, and the way I found it is it was posted on a pro-circ site. And the comments there are like, 'Oh I"m so glad you posted that video' 'so informative', or whatever. :Puke

So the doctor claims that the penis after the circumcision is a perfect penis and looks like a beautiful rose bud. What was it before the circumcision? Was it not already perfect?
So anyway hows that saying go, "If its not broke dont fix it." Well doctors here in the U.S and pro- circ advocators need to re-educate themselves on that saying.

He's not wearing gloves for the whole beginning of the procedure, including giving the injections. I didn't see him clean the area off afterwards (certainly not with betadine which would have discolored the skin) either.

Also, did anyone else notice on the first link in the OP, the freshly circed baby penis appears to be erect? WTH? :Puke

Before we complain, is there a way to archive/document this?

That website is infuriating...so much misinformation

Yeah, Jen I noticed that. I want to post a link on the circ support board (the board that first posted the link) telling them they need to warn people that it is a very graphic picture-- but get this, they are praising the website, the pictures, and the video. :Puke I know I would be reported.

I also noticed that the pictures, circumcised, intact, and 2 months circumcised are, of course, biased. First the after circumcision picture was very sanitized-- at least from all the post-op circ pictures I've seen from a variety of sources. Second, it does not show a 2 month intact picture for comparison. What does that imply? That there is no need for comparison? Everyone circs?

So, yeah, I think we do need to document the misinformation 'before' we make a stir about it.

I noticed this afternoon, when referring another person to Stanford's site, that the film has been taken down. "Temporarily unavailable." Perhaps this was due to a complaint from someone here.

I can hear it but not see it. Sounds pretty much like a circ though- dr. giving excuses, baby screaming. Eww....

"The most beautiful penises are those that have not much mucous membrane." OUCH.

Eww... Okay, the quiet whispering is freaking me out. Its too secretive.

I'm feeling nauscious and I only watched to the point where he injected the lidocaine. :Puke

Eewwww...

I'm sitting here with my 4yo ds and I just happened to watch the video (ds did not see it) and I nearly passed out just from watching it. Why do parents allow this too happen to thier poor little babies? :

This is NOT something that is beautiful or pretty!!! This is horrible! Whats wrong with people theses days? Why? Why? Why? I'm SO GLAD my two boys are intact and they are going to stay that way!!!

The other thing that angered me was this:
Quote:
Because of the excellent cosmetic results he obtains with this technique, other physicians often request his services for their own family members.
Is THAT really appropriate on a 'teaching' website.

You are exactly right. By removing almost all of the inner foreskin (I didn't watch the video), the doctor has made the possibility of the child restoring his foreskin later on for anything other than cosmetic purposes pointless.

Metaphorically, not only has the doctor burned the crops in the fields, he has also sown salt on the fields to insure that nothing will grow there again.

Perhaps he wanted to make the child's penis appear as if it were never intact to start with? Maybe he wanted to make sure that the child will be almost incapable of feeling sexual pleasure once he's an adult? <Insert deity of your choice here> only knows what was AND IS going through this sicko's mind when he performs a circumcision.

I couldn't look: , but from the sounds of things...it's not good. Stanford is in Conn right?? any intactavist up there that can go spread some pamphlets around?? I would have been up to it, because my mom used to live a few towns over, but she moved last year

Time to start REALLY educating these people!!
