Antibiotics - fear might get yeast ?

I am wondering since my son is on antibiotics for an ear infection. I heard that antibiotics could cause yeast is that true ? If so , should I use something to maybe preven him to get yeast while he's on the antibiotics ?

If so what ? Then if he does get yeast what does it look like on the 'foreskin' ?

This is good stuff: http://www.culturelle.com/

I have used this after getting chronic vaginal yeast infections for years. If I start getting early symptoms now, all I need is a day or two of it and no more problems! If your local health food store does not carry it, you could always resort to Wal-Mart if you have one of those (Note: I am not a proponent of WM but if you need it, you need it...)

Yes this is true. IMO, there is no point in trying to give him something to prevent the yeast infection while he is still on the anti-biotics, because the anti-biotics are busy killing the 'good and the bad guys' and it wouldn't make much of a difference.

It is always a good idea to do a pro-biotic immediately after an anti-biotic. This will help to restore some of the good infection-fighting agents that were killed off with the anti-biotic treatment and hopefully circumvent a yeast infection!

Try a local health food store, they are very easy to find there. I believe they are refrigerated.
