spreading the word :)

i've been talking with my sister about vaccinations and why we don't vax a little bit over the past couple of months. she's been pretty receptive. her fiance and her won't have kids probably for a couple years after they get married (this coming May), so she's got time to think about all of it. i'm just glad she's getting some "other" information, KWIM?

AND

DH and i were driving with my brother the other day, and i was telling DH about that flu shot spoof video that someone on here posted. well, my brother goes "i thought that the flu shot was just a vaccination. i thought it was just a form of the virus"...of course, we spent some time telling him of all the other wonderful ingredients in vaccinations. he was like "well, i don't think i'll ever get a flu shot" he's nowhere near having children (22, a student, and single), but at least we planted a seed.

just thought i'd share.

yea! good for you! I wish my family would be more receptive. I did talk to my MIL and she seems like she might be okay with my non vaxing. but I think my family is another story so I probably won't tell them.

DH's sisters are both nurses and we've had a couple arguments about it with one of them. i don't think the other sister knows. DH's parents know, and his dad doesn't like the idea, but his mom seems okay with it. my parents don't know, either. i don't know how they would react to it.

I talked to my older sister when I first started reasearching and she said that I should vax b/c one of my cousins didn't vax and her kids get sick or something stupid like that. people just don't do research and that is what frusterates me they just put stuff in their kids and don't even know what it is.
