So my mom was helping us out while I was in the hospital. Just before I that I had cleaned out my car and brought in an especially nasty sippy cup that had had milk in it - I threw it in the sink but we were busy and I didn't get to cleaning it out, then I had my m/c and was in the hospital, etc.
Anyway, apparently my mom did the dishes, took this sippy cup and just rinsed it out and threw it in the dishwasher without cleaning it. That entire load of dishes smelled like rotted milk. I washed the sippy cup about 10 times and it still reeked of it, so I threw it out. But now the dishwasher smells like it. The whole friggin dishwasher. Grr.
Any ideas on how to get it to stop smelling? I would try baking soda, but that other thread makes me think that isn't a good idea with my hard water.
