We finally named dd#2 this am. Gabrielle Autumn.
Here's my birth story:
I slept well until 2am on Monday, then was crampy and uncomfortable, contractions didn't start until after 3:30am. Then I had to debate for a while wheter this was labor or not, until I knew it was. So I woke up DH and started filling up the birth tub. My MW was working that night, her shift didn't end until 7:30am and then she had to drive 60 miles to my house. At 6:45am DH started flipping out because my contractions were every 3 minutes and lasting 1.5 minutes so I agreed to call the back-up MW. This was not the back-up MW that I didn't like but my MW's ex-partner who had agreed to be on on-call for me only since I had issues with the other MW. We then called my mom to bring over a space heater, we couldn't find our's and the room I had my tub set up in wasn't quite warm enough. My mom arrived, dd woke up, followed by the back-up MW, and my MW was able to get off work a litle early so she ened up arriving about 45 minutes after the other MW. I wasn't expecting so many people in my house, we hadn't planned on my mom being here, nor the other MW,I didn't like all the noise and activity. So I spent the next few hours going from room to room trying to find some peace to get back in my groove. My contractions went back up to about 5 minutes apart, and less intense.
My MW's were truly hands off, they checked my BP once, and listened to baby 3 times while I was trying to get back into labor, and that was it, that's all they did during the entire labor and birth. My labor picked back up at 10:30, I finally went back to were I was at 6:45am when we started calling everyone. I hopped into the tub a short tub later, had a couple contractions, felt like pushing, pushed about 3 times and caught her at 11:10 am. It was awesome, I can't believe how much I missed out when the MW caught dd #1. My MW's didn't touch me or the baby for over an hour after the birth, they did a quick newborn assessment, ate lunch, and left. Later DH was remarking how easy it was and that we really didn't need a MW after all.

Maybe next time I'll get my UC.
