the last two weeks have been absolutely hectic. we just moved, had a TON of unexpected expenses and have been super busy with unpacking and painting the house that meals were the last thing on my priority list. the temptation to just order fast food was there but fortunately, because of how broke we are, we were able to resist those urges pretty easily.
instead, i went to the cupboards and started using up all the dry and canned goods we have. i've made it TEN DAYS without buying ANY groceries other than a half gallon of milk and a dozen eggs. the best part? i've made ten lunches and ten dinners, ALL DIFFERENT, just by using those ingredients plus some meat we had frozen and various dairy and produce we already had!
i've NEVER done that before! this is a huge step for me toward frugality and healthier eating. we're guilty of eating out at least once a week for the last several months and using convenience foods WAY too often.

just had to share! looking forward to future pantry challenges around here!
