implantation bleeding?

Hi everyone, i'm new to the boards so please bear with me!
I need advice, I've got 2 children already and knew straight away that I was pregnant both times. However, I'm not due my period until the 31st of this month (i'm a regular 28 day girl) but I started bleeding last night, it was red but lighter than a normal period and with no cramping. Also my nipples have been really painful for the past couple of weeks or so, it's just strange for me to be like this.
My hubbie and I had unprotected sex on Saturday night and also last Saturday night so there is a chance I might be pg.
Has anyone else had this?

It could be but from what I hear implantation spotting is usually really really light. The thing that makes me think it's something else is the fact that you say your breasts have been hurting for several weeks. Your body doesn't release hcg, the pregnancy hormone, until the embryo implants. Do your breasts usually hurt just before AF? Mine do and it always starts the day after ovulation, so perhaps you just ovulated early this cycle? If you ovulated much earlier than usual that would also probably translate to a lighter AF since your body didn't have as much time to build up a lining.
