Level 5.5....Pregnant or Not Pregnant??!!

Ok...I didnt take the mini pill properly this past month and I had 2 periods (still nursing). My doctor wanted to make sure i wasnt pregnant since I was having "abnormal bleeding" though I was pretty sure it was just because of the pill.

I went in for a blood test and was told levels 1-5 indicate not pregnant but my levels are 5.5 so I need to come back in a couple days....: I don't think I am pregnant but now this has got me wondering.

What he is referring to is the beta HCG that is produced by your body when you are pg. That is what is in your pee when you take a home pg test. By doing the blood test they can get an actual number, its a much more sensitive test. Anyway, too soon to tell yet just based on the one test. What they will look for is that number to double every two days. If this happens that indicates a pg.
