Have you tried the M1 increase? You just pull up the bar between stitches and lay it over the left needle and knit it. It looks pretty much invisible...like it comes from nowhere. I haven't done panta (*yet*), but this might be a good way to do it...

I have not yet made one of these, but in reading the directions, it seems to me that all the increases are done in the purl stitches, not the knit stitches?

Quote:
Make all incs on right side rows. When the piece measures 8 cm inc all P 1 to P 2 = 24 sts.
The pattern starts as K2, P1 ribbing, so I read this as doing an increase in the P stitch to continue working in K2, P2 ribbing.

I usually increase by KFB, and I think the reason this wouldn't look right in this pattern is that the stitches look to me like one knit stitch next to one purl stitch. If you use the M1, you might want to do some of them picking up the bar from the front and then alternating to pick up from the back because it pulls in opposite directions. Plus, you have to twist the stitch when you knit or purl it because otherwise it causes a hole. I've been knitting some of the Warm Heart Woolies wraps, and they use this increase. The pattern explains this much better than I am! http://warmheartwoolies.com/PlainWrap.pdf

Sweet! I love the colors - I've been stuck thinking that they'll look best in darker variations, since that's all I've seen so far. This is a particular quirk of mine anyway, I have to really force myself to pick colors outside the range I see in the pattern pics. What yarn did you use?

Ah, well you've already figured it out but I was using a PFB increase, since the pattern said to make the P2 P3 and so on.

I LOVE it Mama! The color really complements your complexion. I've been thinking I want a pink one, but the only pink in my stash is cotton, and I don't want it cotton (it snowed today!).
