Come join the November 500 Items Decluttering Challenge!!! - Page 10

I've gotten rid of:

12 catalogs
2 of my ds's worn-out sneakers
15 children's books that we don't read
5 toys
2 goodie bag things

So far 36/500...I'm on my way!

Oh! I have over 30 Mother-ease diapers and liners that are still in good conditions that we no longer need. I would like to find a good home for them!

I'm soooo far behind, but am gearing back up. I want to get some more boxes of stuff for the Holiday Helper project, so I'm going to wade into the jungle that is my oldest dd's closet and see what I can do

Just bagged up 37 peices of clothing to donate. And recycled one huge bag of grocery bags.

Planning to tackle the toys today too, we'll see how well ds tolerates that.

I'm joining again! I think I can estimate about 80 items from a purge of our back porch. We were using it for storage- we had a ton of bins and baskets full of GOD KNOWS WHAT! Movies, books, clothes, etc. We have a dump pile building high and we carted off 2 garbage bags to the thrift store.

I didnt count anything- but I think 80 real items is a good number.

Been kinda slow at this the last few days. I'm getting overwhelmed at how much there is left to get done... maybe I'll just try 500 a month for... a year?!?! again, ugh.

OK, today I managed to clear out the kitchen and added 106 things. Mostly old cookbooks, and a lot of teflon stuff that I haven't used in a couple of years, etc. PLUS I managed to get rid of a stuffed fish dh brought home a couple years ago (with the deluded notion that we were going to HANG IT UP!!!!!) he, he, he. Someone else can deal with it now! All has been freecycled and is awaiting pick-up!

This is addictive

I'm just plugging away; I have some catch-up to do if I"m going to make my goal, but the garage is out there lurking...it's going to be carnage when I get out there!

I did make banana bread to use up some of the sad frozen bananas taking up space in my freezer, got rid of a total eyesore of a fisher-price basketball net that ds dragged home from the neighbor's garage sale last summer and returned/donated sundry other miscellania.

so far...74/500.

Gave away a pair of Wellipets to a friend today. DS cries when we put them on but his playmate just might wear them.

Tomorrow: a box of toys and books and a stack of photos going to a friend's house. Woot!

Computer problems here as well so lots of time to declutter. Spent all day Wednesday cleaning dd1's room in anticipation all the stuff coming for her birthday and Christmas. I am embarassed by the amount of stuff I threw out of there.

Old toys pieces and other junk to garbage from dd's room = 85:
1 old frame
Recycled - 2 magazines, 1 box and 14 other assorted items
Gave 4 birth items and 4 baby items to a friend who is due anyday.

111 + 116 = 227/500

Almost halfway there!

OK, more from the kitchen... and the dining room and the living room and ds' room and ugh.
a lot of vases, candles and other decorative stuff freecycled (52 items right there)
some half dead plants pitched (2)
some jarred baby food freecycled (10)
some magazines recycled (22)

Welcome!!! Jump right in.

I know I'm up over 100 really, because I keep tossing things out of the fridge and throwing away random toy bits as I go through my day, but I'm too crazed to keep count. I have SOOO much stuff to take to Goodwill--at least 50 things--but I never have the time to get there, except on Sunday, when of course they're closed. And I'm having trouble getting some Freecycle stuff out of here--keeps falling through : Anyway, should be getting rid of an old footbath/massager and a big bag of sheet sets and top sheets tomorrow, provided the Freecyclers actually show up. And, bonus! I was in the attic today, and I found a thermal blanket I've been looking for (trying to keep the heat down at night) and a whole bunch of sheet sets that fit our bed. I've been thinking about getting new (to us) sheets, but now I don't have to!

I decluttering!

Including two items returned to rightful owners. (I love those!)

Sadly, my house looks like a garbage heap though. I've gone through so much stuff and bagged it up and now missed two trash days by oversleeping. Don't get the wrong idea. It's not gross trash like old food or anything, just random crapola that's been hanging around my house. This pregnancy is kicking my butt and so I can't carry any of it out myself. That's Dh's job tomorrow... I have a tally for all of those bags, but I refuse to add it to my total until after it is out of the house...
