Dr's Tests- evap lines?

You know those round preg. tests the dr's offices use? (You put four or five drops of urine in and wait four minutes?) I did one of those around 4:00 two days ago and it was clearly negative. Then I did another in the morning this morning and it was negative, but now there is a line. Actually, there was a line much earlier, but I put it in the drawer. So if there is a 2nd line on these tests AFTER four minutes, does that mean its definitely still negative?

I think technicly anything after the time limit has to be disregarded..but anecdotally I've heard of positive lines after the time limit that were definately real. I'd question the color of the line, is it the same color as the control line? an evap line is grayish/whiteish and not pink.

No its got the faintest of purple color there. I had a test like that recently actually. Something is going on with my body. I have bone pain and now I have a fever and couldn't sleep last night. I'm having a follow-up in a few hours with my primary dr. so we'll see what she says. She might just do a blood test.

The tests that the docs use are the same type of tests that you can buy OTC. I hope that you actually did get your BFP, but I would probably assume evap and retest in a couple of days. Good Luck!!!!!!!

That test still has a light purple line on it and I have not retested since then but my bresats don't hurt anymore either. I think its my IUD making me miss periods. I also am on new meds.

The nurse called to say all my tests were "within normal range" so I suppose that means HCG was too, as I know she put that on there to test. She said we can't test progesterone or estrogen because of my IUD, so those may have been giving me those symptoms too. It was very strange!
