Ok my very very very naughty little guy found a permanent marker that his very very very naughty mean mother left out and now we have permanent marker all over his plastic potty chair.
HELP
How can I get it out????
Try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I thought it was just hype, tried a sample, and am now hooked. I have used it to get permanent marker off of plastic things (and wood and tile and formica...sigh).

good luck!

clorox bleach?
i know a lot of mama's here won't like this, but the mr. clean eraser gets out almost anything. it took permanent sharpie ink off of our counter, trash can, counter tops and even a door once. my dd loves to draw, too. i actually left out a big perm. marker in her room the other day and she 'decorated' her bookshelf, toy chest, bed frame and a couple of books. what can i do though, i left it out! hope it helps!

Ok I am trying clorox with bleach right now and its sort of coming off...arrrghghggh I found some on the carpet too...what a stinker. I looked on the Sharpie webstie and they only have info for getting it out of fabric. Ok back to scrubbing!

Well I guess its as good as its going to get. Most of it came off the potty seat, but in the little part that you dump its REALLY bad and I couldnt get hardly any off. I hope that doesnt confuse him when he sits on it and sees something even if he didnt going potty

DH is a toy collector and he uses gun oil to remove sharpie off of plastic. We got that tip from a guy at The White Elephant.

Rubbing Alcohol should take it off the potty chair without a lot if any scrubbing.
yes my dd did this to my dh's desk, it's still there!

Try soaking the spot on your carpet with white vingar. My boys got dry erase marker on the carpet and my white vinegar spray (50/50 with water) was able to get it out.

It's a potty. Why does it matter if it has marker on it?
MAGIC ERASER saved us from shelling out $$$$ to our apt bc SOMEONE (not me...) left a Sharpie out (a big fat one) and while I went to the bathroom, the Sharpie made it's way out and onto the WHITE fridge, stove, dishwasher...How fast she works...

DH had picked up an Eraser at the store for something else so I grabbed it...and it took off every last bit with a bit of elbow grease. I washed it off with plain ol soap and water afterwards...just like new...

GL mama.

Because we dont have marker on our potty. We dont have marker on our furniture or our toys or a clothes, so why would we have it on the potty? I do like our belongings to stay nice and I think it helps teach us about taking care of our things and having pride in having nice things.

did you try the rubbing alcohol?
a word of future warning, magic eraser works on crayons on walls, but only if you get to it pretty soon after. : dont' even ask how I know.

and it is magic!! just don't let the kids touch it, is can leave burn marks if they rub themselves with it. ( a friend found this out, not me )
