Why do you need to get it out of the potty chair?

Potty chairs tend not to be keepsakes - I wouldn't cry too hard if mine got vandalized. It's held too many discusting things for me to have much affection for it.

Nothing will get it out, my son found one and drew all over walls and some of his plastic toys, the walls marks are slowly coming off (as is the paint) but the mess on the pastic won't. Maybe if I had found it right away, but it wasn't until I cleaned up his room the next day.

Permanent markers are in a locked box in this house now

Just give the marker back and let him finish the job Maybe it will look intentional and perhaps look better than Elmo, Dora or whatever characters The Man keeps sticking on plastic children's products these days

A little alcohol might do the trick for both you and the chair .

ROTFLOL! I agree. I was thinking there are definitely worse things your ds could have gone after. My kids have marked up some things before. DS once colored new "letters" on my computer keyboard in purple Sharpie. Those did eventually wear off (mostly). I've always just been grateful that it wasn't anything worse.

Those puppies clean up just about anything! They even took crayon off of our microfiber couch.

Just think of it as a tattoo for the potty.

We have a tattoo on our desk.

Sharipes are known around here as "Mommy Markers" - in others words, to be used ONLY by Mommy. Even Daddy is banned. They are also kept high and hidden.

Yeah, either let him go at it some more (where he can't get pen on anythign else) or take your own artistic hand to it-- see if you can turn his squiggles into flower stems, star bursts, etc At least it was just the potty, huh?

I was once told that toothpaste takes off permanent marker. I've never tried it.

WD 40 takes off crayon on walls. Just use diluted dish detergent to clean up the WD 40 afterwards.
