Good nutrition/recipe book??

Thread Starter
I am looking for a book that will give me nutrition info (vitamin, mineral, fat content etc.) on individual foods as well as recipes for combining foods to their best benefit. I should point out tht DH is a definite "meat and potatoes" man so anything very exotic won't cut it for him and my dss don't eat enough for me to cook complete meals just for us. Any suggestions?

I strongly recommend Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon if you want to make "meat and potatoes" meals in a healthful way. There are lots of recipes for meat, but also other stuff like beans and whole grains, lots of info on child nutrition etc. It really goes against the grain in regards to fats and meat, which in the author's opinion, are not the source of heart disease.
