How old are they? Our only is 2 1/2. He will turn 3 a few months before the new baby comes.
Where were they born and what were the births like? He was born in a hospital. My water broke at 36 1/2 weeks at night (after I finished grading a whole set of final exams). It took us an hour to get our stuff together, call the backup OB (mine was at a conference on the other side of the country), and get into the car. My contractions started in the car at about 2 1/2 minutes apart. I was planning on going with no epidural, but that went out the window. My contractions started so fast that I never had time to get used to the pain. I got my epidural, and I was pushing less than an hour later. He was born after 5 sets of pushes. They wisked him away because he was so early (and he swallowed some fluid). They had more people in there for him than they had for me! He came home 5 days later.
How do you think they'll handle having a new baby in the house? He got mad at me a few weeks ago because I did not take someone else's baby home from the store. He loves babies, but he has been an only child for a long time. I think he will be pretty jealous, but he will be excited, too.
Anything else about them we should know? I am still nervous that this one is not for real. I still have very few symptoms so I don't know what is going on with my body. Oh, I am really hoping for a girl so we can have one of each!
