I want to make some cloth doll diapers for my daughter for christmas. Anyone have a good pattern or ideas? We are expecting our 2nd in Dec. and she wants to help change diapers soooo bad.

My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...

This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...

This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

How big is the doll? Some dolls are big enough for preemie or even nb sized diapers. If the doll is smaller, you could always reduce a preemie diaper pattern.

This group has a free diaper pattern in its files. I don't know if I can link it if you are not a member.

If you have any commercial baby layette patterns (Buterick, etc.) they often have a diaper cover pattern with them. You could use that and just shrink it on a copier if needed.
I've made a few doll diapers, I wish all of dd dollies has similar sized bums...

I just made some mini-cloth diapers for fun - sort of a diaper bag bling... and I never sewed an acutal diaper before.
All I did was eyeball what I "thought" a cloth diaper should look like in mini form.... or you could take a cloth diaper (all in one, pocket, fitted, etc.) and just eyeball in making it smaller.
I drew my shape on an 8.5x11 sheet of paper (I really only needed a portion of that paper), cut it out - and used that as a a pattern piece. Then taking that pattern piece I cut two - one from an old stained onesie that someone gave me, and one from some old flannel fabric I had lying around. I put right sides together and stitches around it.... making some puckering around the legs (since a baby isn't going to wear it - it didn't need to be elastic), leaving an opening at one end.
I then attached velcro and it was done!
So...... what you could do is after eyeballing it, drawing it, and cutting it out - you can measure the paper against your DD dolls to see if they would fit. Adjust the size from there and you should be good to go - sewing one in less than 10 minutes.
If you have questions - PM me and I'd be glad to help... I am no expert by any means - just a crafty person who has to try everything once!
