I am still bleeding 3 weeks PP. Is that normal. I don't remember how long I bled with my others but this seems a bit long! Anyone know of a way to get it all (sorry TMI) out faster?
With DS (my first), I bled for about a month (4 weeks). I don't know if that helps or not. You can always double check with your midwife or OB. I hope you feel better soon.
With my son's birth (non-medicated vaginal), I bled for 5.5 weeks. I almost postponed my 6 week check-up because of it, but it finished up a coupld days before that.
I've heard that RRL tea is supposed to help shorten the pp bleeding time. I didn't know that last time around, but plan to find out this time! That might be something to try as well =)
Sounds normal to me, too. I think it can tend to be longer with second, third ?? kids just because you're having to take care of them. Relaxing is the best way to make it stop faster. I even had days that it would stop and then I would go for a walk and it would come back a bit.
I'm in the opposite place as you! I stopped bleeding two weeks postpartum and I kept thinking something was really wrong about that!
Baby #1 (natural birth), bled for 7 weeks
Baby #2 (c-section) bled for 6 weeks
Baby #3 (UBAC) bled for only two weeks?! It was only heavy for the first three days! :
I don't know how long I bled with ds - but I know it was a lot longer than this child. I am 3 weeks pp now and just have pnink tinged cm spotting. I had an episiotomy with ds, but not even a tear with this one, so I wondered if maybe the healing process with that was what made my pp bleeding with ds seem so much longer?
I can't actually remember how long i bled for with any of my lo's but as far as i know it is completely normal to be still bleeding at 3 wks some bleed as long as 6 wks.
with #1 I bled 6 weeks, 4 with #2, 2 with#3, this time I bled for a week, stopped for a few days then spotted for a few days, back and forth. When we were in the hospital with Noah at 2 weeks a started bleeding heavier again, STRESS, now I seem to spot some days again, very slight, its fading more as the days go by. Noah will be 4 weeks tommorow.
