but its natural...

this is the reason my dh's brother gave him on the phone tonight for circing his son (being induced tomorrow.) Of course, dh went off on how that is actually the most unnatural thing in the world. But to no avail. By the time we get there (9 hrs away) it will have happened. Poor baby. And poor dh, his blood pressure skyrocketed and I got to hear a huge rant about how modern medicine (the circ, induction, epidural, etc) have brainwashed his family. He did make his bro promise to be in the room when it happened, so who knows he may change his mind when he actually sees what is gonna happen.
if you are reading this say a quick prayer for my nephew please
thanks Emily

Wellif he is going to be in the room with him - if he has the guts to stay- there is still hope. I know I was on the fence until I saw a poor little baby strapped to the circ. board. I didn't even n eed to see the blood and gore that followed. The strappin' down was enough for me.

He was such a sweet baby! Dad didnt get to be in the room, because he went out to get something to eat and they did it then, despite the fact that he had already insisted that he be with him. He was pretty upset about it. Dh went to visit while they were still at the hospital and heard the doc tell his brother that the only thing that seemed to be bothering the baby was the circumsision. Duh!
Seeing my dh react so passionatly about the subject made me remember how much I love him.

I suspect the doctor didn't want him to be there because he wasn't using any pain relief or inadequate pain relief like EMLA cream. Three fourths of babies are still circumcised with no pain relief at all. I can certainly understand why it was still bothering him!
