Her beautiful baby boy, Trace Oak, was born on Wednesday, October 25th during a tragic event. He is with us only in spirit
Jaya narrowly escaped death and it is the most saddening thing that her son did not. In her truly infinite wisdom she listened to her body and knew early on in labor that she needed to be at the hospital. After some time there, a major artery to the uterus burst and the birth suddenly became life threatening for both of them. Please know that her uterus did not rupture on her previous-cesarean scar and that Jaya would not want this event to interfere with any woman's trust-in-birth. It was her trust and instinct that saved her.
She will provide more details when she is ready, but for now, please keep her and her husband, Scott, daughter, Ariah, and Trace
in your thoughts and prayers—they need lots of love and light sent their way.
