Has this happened to anyone else?

I've been spotting every 2-3 weeks since I got my first ppaf in early August. I've only had one other period (at least I think it was the real deal) a couple weeks ago. As far as I know, I'm not pregnant. Soooo, has this happened to anyone else? Should I be concerned (I'm not so far but this is weird).

I haven't had a ppaf yet (I'm not a mom yet ) but the spotting could be caused by having a long anovulatory cycle. with anovulatory bleeding, the bleeding may be lighter than normal because the extra lining just sheds off instead of everything coming off because of a drop in hormones. Sometimes seeing your HCP can be worth it just for the peace of mind. Even a phone call to your mw/dr/etc can help if it's really bugging you.

Thanks for the response! I chart so I definitely agree that so far my cycles are anovulatory - which I know is common for a while postpartum. It just struck me as odd how regular my spotting is especially considering that prebaby I never spotted between periods. I'm not too worried - I actually thought I would get more responses from women who experienced something similar. Oh well... I'm not really looking forward to finding a HCP (I recently moved).

Also, you are still nursing which has your hormones all wonky. You could be getting ready to have a ppaf (a real one with ovulation and all!). Are there midwives in your area that could be of assistance? I'd just call a couple of them - some midwives also provide well woman care.

I have been having AF every 15-18 days without fail for the last 4 months. DH and I are TTC#1 I have had all the blood work done and the only thing they know is I didn't O last month. My progesterone was 0.5. I had an ultrasound Oct 13 which showed an ovarian cyst, so I go again next week to see if its there and if it has grown, then I start on Clomid to see if that helps. Good luck
