anyone feel better if they DON'T eat so much fat?

There tends to be such an emphasis in NT-style eating on eating a ton of fat that I've been wondering if anyone has found they feel better if they don't eat so much fat. I'm not really talking about a low-fat diet, but about not necessarily slathering everything with butter and CO, for example.

I think everyone's physiology is a bit different to start with and there will also be variations within a person during different seasons and different stages of life. I need more fat in the fall/winter than in the spring/summer. I believe I also need more fat in my current stage of life (nursing, and in a few years another pregnancy) than I will in the far future.
My dh feels better without much excess fat in his diet. He needs more protein than I do. I think men probably need less fat in general, but looking at it on an individual level I'm sure that there are a lot of women who need less fat in their diets than a lot of men. Not unlike how "in general" men are physically stronger than women, but when you look at individuals, there are a lot of women who are stronger than a lot of men.
I hope that makes sense. It's kind of hard to word it without aid of a graph

All I know is the few times in my life I tried to watch fat in the name of health and keeping off extra pounds I felt hungry, tired and deprived.

I don't intentionally eat tons of extra butter and CO now that I eat NT, I just savor it when I do and am not afraid to eat it anymore. I wonder if some if has to do with being happy and enjoying my food now rather than "watching the fat" and feeling deprived....as much as fat being good for me.

Anyways I feel great. And I weigh 125 lbs (well...I'm only 5'2 and everyone will say thats cuz I haven't given birth yet hehe).

yep, that's me. i thought i wouldn't feel good with all the added fat, but i felt much better. i actually don't think i'm eating any *more* fat than i used to, but it is *heathy* fat, and i don't feel bad about it anymore!

according to metabolic typing, carbo types need less and lighter fat and protein sources...they typically do better with poultry and white meat and some dairy products but in moderation. they have slower digestion so heavier fats and lots of heavy protein from red meat and dark meat will make them feel sluggish.

Yeah I've read that...hence my question. I was wondering if that's actually true and some people really do feel better on less fat, or if it doesn't really hold true.

'The Metabolic Typing Diet' by Wolcott is a very interesting book, speaks a lot about the science that goes behind the diet. i'm a believer, it just makes sense to me.

i don't eat as much fat as they generally 'call for' but i don't worry about how much fat i'm getting anymore--which was the big change in going NT.

ITA. I'm a protein type-at the farthest end of the spectrum. I feel better with more fat.
