Barely made it to hospital

Evelyne was born at 9:43am, Monday 10/30, after 7 hours of labor at home, a dash to the hosptal (pushing in the car!), and 13 minutes of pushing immediately upon arrival to the maternity center. My contactions were so intense and irregular that I waited too long before realizing that I was starting to bare down (at which point, we jumped in the car). Anyway, we were blessed with the natural birth we wanted and are home now with a beautiful 8lb. 11oz. 21" girl. Here is her pic:

Oh Mandi...she's absolutely beautiful...like her mother!

Sounds like my weird labor. If it hadn't been at home...I also wouldn't have known when to go in. Before I knew it, I was pushing too...but never had that same urge as with Damien.

Well, congrats!!

Enjoy getting to know your daughter! It's an amazing new feeling to have a daughter!

CONGRATULATIONS MANDI!!! I kept hoping I would see your post very soon. That is so wonderful! I'm glad it all went so well, despite the mad dash to the hospital. Labor is exciting, isn't it?! Evelyne is absolutely beautiful -- I love those cheeks. BTW -- Finn was the exact same weight and height! More we have in common . . . Hope you are recovering well and that nursing is going well too. Enjoy your babymoon and give me a call as soon as you are up for it. I can't wait to hear more about the birth and how you all are doing. Congrats again -- you did it!!! Welcome to the world of two.
