Hi everyone! I'm still around, just really busy. Cole is great. Nursing right now. He's trying to potty learn. He has been pooing in the potty everyday for a few weeks. I can't believe how he just picked it up on his own. Maybe the little EC we did? He has always peed when I put him on the potty eh, for the last year at least. Last night he walked in here, tugged on my shirt and said "Poo poo, potty." He walks into the bathroom, puts the potty ring on the tiolet and starts trying to get his romper off. LOL, just wanted to get on the potty right now. He loves to flush. He only peed, but had to flush twice. Anyway, I am really enjoying not changing dirty diapers. I am not counting on this lasting though. My plan was to let him lead and we are. I never imagined it would be before 2 that he get interested. My oldest wasn't fully pl till after 3 and resented it even then.


I'm planning a small party for his birthday. He's getting a toddler bed and bedding. I doubt he'll use it. Eventually though right? I love him sleeping with us. I may get him a toy instead.

Yeah Rozzie has a toddler bed but uses it so she can cosleep with her baby dolls. Then when they are napping she covers them with a blankie and walks away. Too cute, she is sleeping with her daddy right now

Thanks m~h~l, although I'm not feeling so beautiful these days... it could be worse. With Eli, I got so hormonal I cut all my hair off pretty short... looking back at those pictures, I think, ugh.

I am 31 weeks today. Don't have any new pictures to share yet. Dh wants to get me a digital camera for Christmas, but there are so many different kinds, options, etc. and I haven't had time to research them to decide what I want, plus we really don't have the money right now.

Eli is doing great... not too much new...

Unfortunately, he is my "picky" eater, which I am trying not to let drive me insane. I am not going to get into making him something different from what we are eating when we all sit down together. I figure, if he's hungry, he'll eat. If he doesn't eat much, then he usually asks for a cup of milk before bed, and that gets him through the night.

I am trying to picture life with a nursing newborn around here, and wow, am I working on relaxing and picking my battles. I do NOT want to be stressed out all the damn time.

Last night at dinner with friends, Aidan was arguing with me about something, and finally I just looked at him across the table and said "Be Quiet." And he immediately replied with a smart-a$$ look and said "YOU!" ...Oh my, this is my 5-year-old we're talking about and he does NOT talk to me like that. I don't know what came over him.

My sweet, calm, almost 4 year old has started pulling things like this lately. It's usually when he's tired (or has had too much candy -- which isn't much, but still). He seems driven to a sleep schedule by the sun, so we need to adjust him to a new bedtime 7 instead of 9, I think...

PS...I think ds3 is going to be "Isaac" I swear I'm not stalking you!

It is, isn't it? My midwife mentioned it out of the blue, and 12 hours later I suddenly decided it was perfect. It matches with Ian & Aiden (And Eli, huh! ). Gotta love all the vowel names!

We really havn't thought to much about names. I really like Paisley for a girl and am trying to get DH on board, but he keeps telling me it reminds him of "plaid". He assumes its a direct spin off of my sewing hobby, i think.
If we have a boy, who knows. DH likes Lincoln. I think its to american sounding.

I, too, agree on both counts. Paisley is an awesome name, but I don't think Lincoln is too great. I knew a kid named Lincoln when I was a child. He was the little brother of a friend. They always called him 'Linky' and because of his bad attitude and his serious dorkiness (even by adult standards), I have a horrible connotation to that name.

If I step back and look objectively at it, I can't see anything wrong with it at all, though.

Seriously we have no clue. Josh seems to like Madalynn if it is a girl but I am not sure. Rosalynn and Madalynn, it's cute but almost too cute. Although I do like the name. Who knows?

Boys I haven't a clue in the world. All I know is it will not be Harold Edward, MIL is really pushing for that because it was her fathers name but YICK.

Yea, I'd not be real thrilled with that, either! We used middle names to name after family for our boys. Perhaps you could use Edward (or Harold) as a middle name?

I think you're right on with the girls names too... almost too rhyme-y...perhaps something else flowing and feminine... Isabella was my girl pick. Geneviere (sp?) and Annaliese were on my favorites list, too.

And speaking from the POV of someone with a "lynn" name, when they're hollered from another room they are nearly impossible to tell apart, so (when you get to that point) you may have lots of either neither or both girls responding, ya know?

Love Paisley! Lincoln... ehhhh. At least he likes the interesting names & not plain bill & bob type ones, lol. How about Spencer? That's on our list, too (I decided not to make Isaac "carved in stone" yet to give dh a chance to put in his .02...and because we haven't met him yet, ya know?).

On the mastitis front, I'm all but 100% better. Just a tad run down still. I did end up having my mom come help me and I'm glad I did. I was sooo beat and out of it. She and Jett played, which took all the pressure off me, so I just sat around. Then, the day after she left, MIL came to visit, so we got another day of help, by way of playing with the kiddo. To make matters worse, Shanon came from his trip sick with a bad stomach bug, so we were grateful his mom was here.

My grandmother nursed my mom for five months, then got mastitis and the doctors told her she'd have to quit nursing or she'd make my mom sick. So, she quit nursing and her mastitis turned into an abcess.
My MIL nursed Shanon for three months, had to go to work and was nursing less often. She got a clogged duct, which turned into mastitis. The doctor told her she had to stop nursing. She got an abcess. (Though I wonder about this story. Always before it was, "I didn't realize I could nurse part time, so I quit when I went back to work." Now, I get mastitis and the story either changed ...or perhaps it just got more detailed. )
Thank heavens I have better information than they had access to. I feel for them, I really do.

Jaclyn- I'm glad you're feeling better. I actually had mastisis once as a preteen as the result of an injry to the chest and it was so awful i can't imagine having it and a toddler. I'm glad you had some help.

All of you trying to pick boys names good luck. Dh and i could only think of one we liked before we knew Iris was a girl and other people (my mom) hated it.

I thought I'd post some pictures of Iris. One is from the wedding she was in this past October. It's not the best pitcure but you can see how cute the dress was. One is from Halloween and there are a couple from this past weekend when we went apple picking.

Shalena - I like Paisley, Lincoln, not so much. Maybe because I knew a Lincoln in grade school as well, and, being pretty geeky myself, even I realized he was comically dorky. But like cinnamonamon said, at least your dh is open to interesting names. The only suggestions dh had for boy names were Steve and Vince.

Hmm. Yeah, I was almost Kim Sue Yee, (my dad's mom was pushing that). Whew. Thankfully my mom put her foot down. But maybe you could use part of it for a middle name. If we ever have another kid our boy's middle name would be Walker, dh's grandmother's maiden name. (Same as Brian's and my fil's)

yeah another reason it will not be Harold Edward or any variation is that all of our grandfathers are dead and are grandmothers are alive so it would be a real slap in the face to the other 3 grandmas. Also when I was pregnant with Rosalynn I really wanted to work Zeriah into her name as it is my family name and dh would take no part in it. So screw him, it's not happening, his stupid last name gets passed down and mine is screwed so no Harold Edward.
