Can I join in?
Why did it take me so long to find this thread! I'm so glad to see it.
Ok, so I have to admit, I just
turned 30 in August, and DH in Sept. But we also just
started ttc (this is our 4th cycle), so I guess we could say we waited until our 30s to ttc. We've been married 4 years, but have known each other about 10.
I'm glad to be able to chat with you ladies about it, b/c I've been feeling kinda old around here lately, seeing how many very young
mamas there are here. IRL we are still young to have kids, at least to the people we know. But now that we're both 30, everyone seems to be asking when we're going to have kids, and if I hear that "you have until you're 35" crap one more time, I swear....
I'm on cd18, and I think I'm Oing today.
The past two months I was devastated when af showed up. I'm trying not to get too worked up about it now, but it is a little scary. I was always so confident that I'd get pg right away....mostly because the women in my family seem to be extremely fertile. My mom had 12 kids (i'm the youngest), so by the time she was my age she was pg with her 7th!
So, even though we've only been trying 3 1/2 months, it has been quite a reality check.
I'm also Oing witht the full moon! I'm so psyched to see so many other ladies who are as well! I noticed it about a year ago - I think it started after we moved to our house, which has a skylight in our bedroom.
I think dh must think I'm nuts sometimes - I just want to gaze at the moon.
There is an awesome book - The Red Tent (which I learned about from some MDC friends!), it is set in Old Testament times, and the women all ovulate with the full moon, and have af during the new moon. In the book, the weddings occur during full moon, and so do births!
I've been totally hooked on House of Babies lately - thanks to PiePie.
I loved that episode too - I was so excited to hear someone talk about that phenomenon on tv!

OMG, we were just watching one of those food-network shows about Dave Thomas, and they played that commercial. It had been so long since I'd actually seen it, I had almost forgotten how cute
that little lady was.
eta: PiePie, I'm sorry to hear af has shown up.
Like you said, hopefully things are just normalizing after the pill.
