Hi Piepie, I just was lurking. I just wanted to say that when I was undergoing therapy for PTSD, keeping a notebook really helped alot. I would just write everything I was feeling, dreams, and flashbacks. It was very catharctic for me. I also drew pictures of memories that I had and that helped also.
Exercise really lifts the spirits if you can bring yourself to do it. Even just going for a long walk. I resisted exercise for a long time because of anxiety and depression but when I started it made me feel so good I wondered why I waited so long to take my therapist's advice to exercise.
I also wanted to say I have really come through it after 10 years of therapy and I've been feeling wonderful for over 6 years.
