November Thread ~ Making money on GPT programs *New Thread* - Page 2

Well, I started. I got an offer in my email for $500 if I did some offers, and I did them before the "activation email" and didn't get credit : I guess I have to do some more.

Anybody ever do http://www.incentiveleader.com ?

Now that I read the terms...I have to do 2 offers from EACH page (3pgs...) I'm not sure if I wanna do that much......They all seem to be pay for a trial ones....

Okay, I have to check out Cash Duck, since you all seem to be raving about it. Someone want to send me a referral link via PM?

Christine, I did Charlton Sheets and sent it back media mail. Was kind of worried about how much it would be, but it was only a couple of bucks, and I did delivery confirmation. It was delivered 5 days later (and that was with a weekend in between!)
Lovely! I don't feel so paranoid about this one then. Thanks!

Has anyone done the Share Builder offer on CashDuck?
HA. I went to the last page of offers, and there were only 3 (of which I have to do two, right....) One is for a car loan, which I'd have to get approved and accept, and two are for direct tv/dish services, that I'd have to apply for and buy. What a load of crap. Now I know why I always ignored those in the mail......At least one of them is sending me a $20 gas card.....

I think I'll stick to the links you girls gave me, LOL.

Dani ~ the site you are talking about is similar to those that I'm doing now. However... I do my research, make sure I understand the requirements, and look over the pages/offers before I get started. I make a list of available offers that I can still do and how much each will cost me.. so I know my out-of-pocket expense. I also compare the site to others to make sure I'm getting the most for the amount of offers I'm completing. For example... someone on another board was interested in doing an 8 offer site for an expensive car seat and wanted to know if others throught this was a good deal. I told her that it would be far wiser to do a Nui Tech site that offered $1000 for 10 offers. Then she could afford to buy the same car seat and have plenty of cash left over.

Also.. when you do these types of sites... you can view the offers first. Also start with the 3rd page and work your way forward. The 3rd page always has the most difficult and most costly offers.

I did this. It hasn't been credited yet. I'm not too worried as it said on Cashduck that it could take a few weeks. Before you sign up though... it's worth looking around for some promotion codes. I used one that, once I set up an automatic investment (which I can cancel in the future if I want), they'll credit me with $50. I think the service they offer sounds interesting too and might be handy for saving. If you're interested, PM me for the code I used and details. Not a referral or anything - I won't get any $$$.

Ugh. When I was just starting with the GPT stuff I tried for a $1000 gas card without looking into it enough. I signed up for a couple of trials before getting the last page and finding that I'd have to buy a case of wine and a bunch of other stuff I wasn't prepared to shell out for. Could have got some decent money on one of the GPTs for the trials. I'd like to know other peoples experiences of these because I would be willing to try for a lesser prize. The $1000 requires a bit too much investment.

This one has me a bit worried. I'm going to send it back tommorow (thanks for the tip - I didn't even know about media mail). I checked google after getting the (unexpectedly massive) parcel and found that a lot of people have had negative experiences with this company - erroneous charges, demands for payment years later etc. I try to keep all relevant information filed for all my trials but for this one particularly I would recommend that cancellation information, dates, RMA numbers, delivery confirmation is kept indefinitely. I might be over-reacting but better safe than sorry yk?

i'm with eclipse...i love cash duck, too. i haven't gotten paid yet but i'll post when i do. this was my first month doing gpt's and only did freebies (surveys), and i'm getting ready to start with some cheapie trials this coming month. november will be tough as we have lots of guests coming in for dd's birthday and holidays, but i'm hoping to just get a few done to see what trials are all about.

I have been doing GPT for three months now and I have been having a problem with surveys ( freebies) I use the DBP site and it seems that when I do freebies they are not clearing. Should I get a new email addy and start fresh with the ccleaner, and pop up blocker off? I don't know but I know I am missing out on $$ and it is getting to me now.
I also want to know if any of you use your own cc card or only just simons?
I have had companies turn down my simon and I was thinking of opening a cc card just for my work? What do ya'll think?
I have been on DBP since the end of Sept. At first I had no problems with my credits going thru and I used my personal cc did freebies and trials. The last few weeks I have been having credit problems so I havn't been as active. I cashed out on Oct 1st so missed the Oct payout and missed the Nov payout so still havn't received a payment (my fault) but I'm waiting before I do any more offers. I like the site so hopefully I'll get a payment and my offers that are pending will go thru soon!

Have you tried ]http://prizebook.com? I like that site. I used a Simongiftcard all credit went thru ok with the exception of one and I received a payement within a couple of days of cashing out!

Hi! Hey all - I won the dbp contest in October!!! (The first one, total earnings) I made $1688 in October just on dbp! I (and my doubting hubby as well) was amazed. Thanks for all of the help in learning about this mamas!

I just started in Sept - with freebies. I was getting very frustrated from denied offers and just about to give up completely when I decided to take my $40 from that month and put it into trials. Suddenly I was number one in the contest so I just kept going all month! What I learned: I have a McAfee security center thing on my computer and I learned that this also blocks cookies. So I have to keep cookies enabled in my browser and also turn off the "privacy service" portion of McAfee when I do offers. I can keep my McAfee spam blocker, firewall, and virus proctection active. This has helped a lot with my freebie offers. As has the gmail account.

Also, I would advise people not to use their own credit cards. I did this for a few offers in a panic between simon accounts, because I was so hyped-up to stay ahead in the contest, and already I've had charges that I did not expect or authorize. I had them reversed but if you live paycheck to paycheck like I do, an unauthorized charge can throw you into serious trouble of you are not paying attention. I have only had two companies deny my simon account, and I did a ton of offers last month!

I am taking a break this month - maybe doing a few here and there but I was so crazy doing offers last month that I didn't even get to read mdc! That's bad. : It was fun though!

great story violet71!!!!
I am still doing this pretty slowly and infrequentlyt (I have bursts though!) so your story inspired me!!!
Thanks!
(ps I too had low approval ratings on dbp for freebies. now I really just do trials)

Hi mamas. I stumbled upon this last week and I jumped in with both feet, lol. I am mainly doing freebies at Treasure Trooper. I am trying to get a good amount to put into cash cards so I can do the trials next month.

Anyone have a good spyware program? I am experiencing sluggishness with my computer due to all this. Also, could someone please pm me a gmail invite? I would appreciate that greatly.

Thanks mamas!

download spybot and ad-aware. Both are free and are great tools for removing spyware.

Can any help me with gmail?

I'm in need of a gmail invite..

I'm just starting out.. Last night I went to Instant Profitz and did three freebie offers. So far nothing has come up on the completion page. Are the things you've done supposed to instantly show up there so that you can see that they are waiting for approval or do they only show up on the completion page on Instant Profitz when they have been approved? :

Looking at the offers last was confusing.. There are so many, how am I to keep track of which ones I've done? Should I be keeping a record of the freebies I've done and from which sites so that I don't reapet them on a different site?

Whew!
Thanks Ladies,
What I understand is (at least on DBP) you don't have to keep up with the freebie offers (they disappear from your options after you've done them) but it would help to do certain offers separately, for instance, Consumer Promotion offers are in the same family as Winning survey and Survey Network, so you'll want to do these three on different addys. I'm not on Instant Profitz yet, so I don't know if they have a pending catagory for offers just completed.

Trials are what you need to keep up with- you aren't supposed to do any more than one and some say you shouldn't do any other offers within that same family. You can do all the offers for some families though, like I believe the Scholastic offers ( correct me if Im wrong anyone).

Let me know if you still need a gmail.
