One of my friend's dd's (age 3) has really large bowel movements (painful). I asked him her diet, here it is. I'm wondering if anyone has advice for him:

her mainstay is peanut butter an jelly a few times a week. but typically spaghetti type meals, vegetable soup or what we eat: pot roast, steak, chicken, ...with trimmings, corn, stuffing, mashed potatoes, ...
with butered bread or rolls
crackers for snacks
or maybe the occasional cookie
lots of juice
and water

The one sure-fire way for my son to get constipated is for him to have pasteurized dairy. She could think about eliminating milk products and try reintroducing them later.

Bone broth is soothing to the stomach. My son loves chicken broth in a cup. Is your friend interested in NT-eating at all? We haven't had any bowel problems since starting NT.

: My DD is having issues of the same sort, so I'll be watching for other replies. We're only just getting started on the NT road.
